The Dracut Council on Aging is a department of the Town of Dracut. It is located at 951 Mammoth Road, Dracut, MA. It is headed by an executive director and overseen by The Dracut Council on Aging Board of Directors. Council programs, services and activities are supported by town funds, grants, The Friends of the Dracut Elderly and private donations. The COA’s mission is to advocate on behalf of citizens 60 years and older, to enhance the quality of their lives through the identification and assessment of their health, economic, social, and cultural needs.
The senior center is a drop-in-site for all Dracut seniors, offering a varied array of educational, recreational, and wellness programs. Support services are designed to meet the needs of the ever changing senior population. Older adults are familiarized with creative opportunities geared to stimulate interests in programs and to develop new friendships, as well as aiding seniors with issues of lonliness and isolation.
