Fire Investigation Unit

The Dracut Fire and Police Departments have joined forces to create the Fire Investigation Unit - a highly specialized and collaborative team. With a crucial mandate to determine and document the origin and cause of all building fires, as well as any other fires deemed necessary by the incident commander, this unit brings together a Lieutenant from each department, along with a dedicated firefighter and patrolman. Guided and overseen by the Training Deputy, this team works tirelessly to ensure that each investigation is thorough, accurate, and brings closure to those affected by fire incidents.
