In order to continue providing you with the best possible services the Fire Department Permit Fees are being increased.
In order to continue providing you with the best possible services and keep up with technology and rising business costs, some permit fees for the Dracut Fire Department are being increased effective October 1, 2023. This is our first fee increase for most services in more than 15 years. Please review the Permit Fee Schedule 10-01-23 (PDF).
In addition to those changes, we are also requiring that all Smoke & CO Permits, Fire Alarm Permits, Sprinkler/Suppression Permits, Propane Permits, and Open Burning Permits all be requested online at View Point the Permit System for Dracut MA.
The web site has blank fillable forms and PDF versions that can be uploaded to your permit application.
Soon, we will be adding Oil Burner/Tank Permits to the online portal as well.
Please note: If replacing a boiler, hot water tank or forced hot water furnace, a plumbing permit/inspection will be required pursuant to the State Plumbing and Building codes. There will be no additional charge for the plumbing inspection.
As always, we appreciate your continued support. If you should have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
Richard Patterson, Chief
Dracut Fire Department
