TRASH & RECYCLE UPDATE/COMPOST YARD

TRASH AND RECYCLE - Beginning Monday, March 30th, and continuing until the State of Emergency is lifted, Republic will be operating under the following guidelines:

Cart contents only. For employee safety, drivers will not be authorized to leave their vehicle to pick up any waste (e.g. overflow bags) outside of the cart.

The bulk item waste program will be suspended.

The White Goods / CRT program will be suspended.

It’s important to keep waste out of your recycling cart and to generate only clean recyclables. Please refer to the Recycle Smart web site (recyclesmartma.org) for details about clean recyclable materials.

We understand this is frustrating but unfortunately it is a necessary step to protect the health and safety of employees, customers and our community.  Those that have already requested additional services that fall under these guidelines will have their items picked up.  Please understand this is a temporary solution to avoid a much larger problem and will be lifted as soon as possible.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

COMPOST (Leaves, Brush, Grass @ DPW) - Beginning Monday, March 30th we will be accepting yard waste at the compost site (833 Hildreth St.) Monday-Friday, 7:45AM-10:45AM and 11:30AM-3:00PM; Saturday 8:00AM-4:00PM. This is subject to change as the restricitions regarding COVID-19 evolve.
