The Finance Committee reviews the proposed budgets of all Town departments and Schools and provides recommendations to Town Meeting.
The Finance Committee serves as the authorized financial overseer for the Town, given the challenging task of ensuring that all taxpayers remain fully informed about every aspect of the municipality's finances, a representative body of taxpayers was established to carry out a comprehensive review of financial matters on behalf of all residents.
The Committee generally meets in the Fall, usually in September and October, and Spring, in March through May, to discuss and vote on Town and School Budget, and Town Meeting Articles. Meetings are held in the Selectmen's Chambers on the Lower Level of Town Hall, 62 Arlington St, Dracut.
