Affordable Housing Partnership Committee
The goal of an Affordable Housing Partnership is to create and maintain housing options for low-income individuals and families, and to ensure that these residents have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Agricultural Commission
The Agricultural Commission's duties involve the promotion and assistance of agricultural practices in Dracut. This includes offering technical support, creating policies, gathering and examining data, pursuing grants, and cooperating with external organizations to boost agriculture and facilitate its expansion in the area.

Beaver Brook Farm Ad-hoc Sub-Committee
The goal of Beaver Brook Farm Ad-hoc Sub-Committee is review and make recommendations relating to the use of the property. It is comprised of members from various committees with an interest in the final use of the Beaver Brook Farm.

Board of Assessors
The Board of Assessors is responsible for the valuation of all real estate and personal property items in the Town. The Board hears appeals in these two categories along with motor vehicle excise. The Assessors are also responsible for awarding property tax exemptions provided by statute (Reference - Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 41, Sections 1 and 24-26).

Board of Health
The Board of Health, through the Health Department, provides inspectional services aimed at protecting the public and environmental health. Such inspectional service resources are directed at food safety, safe and sanitary housing, bacterial testing at bathing beaches, public and semi-public swimming pools, tanning facilities, nuisance complaints, etc.

Board of Selectmen
The Selectmen are elected officials who serve as the executive body of the Town of Dracut. Executive powers are vested in the Board of Selectmen. The Board of Selectmen shall have all of the powers and duties given to Boards of Selectmen under the constitution and General Laws of the Commonwealth, and such additional powers and duties as may be authorized by the Charter, by Bylaw or by other Town Meeting vote.

Cable Advisory Committee
The main duty of the Cable Advisory Committee is to negotiate contracts for local access television in the cable contract, with no involvement in determining cable television prices.

Capital Planning Committee
The Capital Planning Committee offers a continuing plan for the next five years, which includes all capital outlay items in the current budget and those anticipated for future years.

Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission is a seven member Commission appointed by the Town Manager. The Commission is responsible to administering the Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Chapter 131, Section 40.

Community Preservation Committee
This Committee provides recommendations to Town Meeting on the use of funds collected through the Community Preservation surcharge, in compliance with the Community Preservation Act - M.G.L. Chapter 44B.

Council on Aging
The Council on Aging is dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of senior citizens within the town. The Council serves as an advisory Board for the Council on Aging Department more commonly known as the Dracut Senior Center.

Cultural Council
The Cultural Council supports many local agencies, groups, and schools that bring arts, sciences, and cultural programming to our community.

Economic Development Committee
The Economic Development Committee (EDC) is a nine-member board comprising appointments from four other Town boards and five at-large members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The EDC assists the Economic Development Project Planner (EDPP) with determining the direction and scope of projects, and acts as a sounding board for ideas the EDPP presents.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee reviews the proposed budgets of all Town departments and Schools and provides recommendations to Town Meeting.

Historical Commission
The Historic Commission is a seven member commission appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Some responsibilities are going over demo requests, provide assistance to other boards and the Historical Society. Operation of the Harmony Hall Building and Varnum Room along with the Historical Society. Grants applications. All Historic related subjects in town.

Open Space Committee
The Dracut Open Space Committee is committed to encouraging and facilitating the preservation and appreciation of Dracut's natural, farms, and recreational lands.

Permanent Building Committee
The Permanent Building Committee (PBC) shall be assigned the responsibility for overseeing the construction or reconstruction of all Town buildings, approval of plans thereof, and expending such funds as appropriated for such project by the Town Meeting.

Planning Board
The Planning Board approves the subdivision of land; issue special permits for uses that are specified in the Zoning Bylaw; conduct site plan review; review and make recommendations to Zoning Board of Appeals.

Recreation Commission
The Commission is expected to assure that statutory functions are assigned properly; promote use of and advocating the benefits of parks and recreational services; suggest recreational programs to be implemented by the Recreation Department.

Sewer Commission
The Sewer Commission reviews current matters brought before them by the Superintendent, which may include permits and fees, upcoming construction projects, invoices related to Town projects, bill abatements, and various issues concerning about the sewer system.

Stormwater Permitting Authority
The Stormwater Permitting Authority (SPA) reviews appeals from residents when triggering a stormwater threshold in need of a stormwater permit. The SPA also reviews documents complying with the Town’s MS4 permit and Stormwater Management Program.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals' responsibilities include hearing and requests for variances from the terms of the Zoning Bylaw, comprehensive permits pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40B, Special Permits for alteration of one and two family homes pursuant to Zoning Bylaws 2.16.26 and 2.16.26, and appeals of any action of the Building Inspector.

Zoning Bylaw Review Committee
This Committee reviews requests to alter the Zoning Bylaw and makes recommendations to the Planning Board for periodic updates.
