Kari Landino started her cleaning business about a year ago from her home on Carle Drive in Dracut after about 25 years working in the construction business.
The inspiration to start her own company came from having to clean out her vacation home on Lake Opechee in Laconia, N.H., ev
ery weekend after renting it out – and discovering that she didn’t mind doing it.
Thus was born Daisy Fresh Interior Cleaning, LLC.
“I actually enjoyed it,” Kari says of tidying up the lake house.
Though she started Daisy Fresh in the spring of 2021, the company really hit its stride right before the holiday season of 2021.
“Because of COVID, it didn’t take off at first, but as Thanksgiving and Christmas got closer, people were getting more comfortable letting others into their homes,” she says.
As the name of the company suggests, Daisy Fresh focuses on cleaning and organizing interiors, and about 90 percent of its business is residential, though it does have a few commercial clients. Kari has hired one employee and is preparing to hire a second as her business expands.
“We’re working six days a week,” she says, adding that she wishes she had thought of starting a cleaning business a couple of decades ago.
Kari keeps Daisy Fresh Interior Cleaning Service’s Facebook page pretty light, using humorous memes to grab people’s attention rather than a constant barrage of posts looking for clients.
“It’s been getting a lot of interest,” she says.
April 7, is National No Housework Day. Sounds like the perfect time for Daisy Fresh. For more information on Daisy Fresh Interior Cleaning, call 978-621-2622.
