O Christmas Tree!

Economic Development Blog Posted on December 08, 2023

If you haven’t gotten your tree yet, what are you waiting for – National Christmas Tree Day? Well, that’s today, December 8.Almo's Flower & Garden Center

With trees becoming harder and harder to come by, what with forest fires and droughts in Canada, there are only two places in Dracut to get one this year if you’re looking to keep the money in town.

They are Almo’s Flower & Garden Center, 313 Willard Street; and Lily Mack Farm, 702 Broadway Road.

Lily Mack FarmBoth spots also have plenty of wreaths, kissing balls and other assorted holiday decorations.

Almo’s Flower & Garden Center has been run by Andre Daigle since 1986, when his father, Albert Daigle Sr., owned the store, which has been in business for five decades. Andy bought it in 2007. Almo’s is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Lily Mack Farm is in its 13th year under the ownership of Ryan and Christi Guthrie, who named it after their children – you guessed it – Lily and Mack. (Their third child, Michael, arrived a couple years after.) Before they bought the property, it was called Broken Wheel Farm. Lily Mack is open Monday-Friday, 4-7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
