If the name Lazy River conjures up images of floating down said lazy river without a care in the world, we hate to pop your thought balloon. Lazy River Products, one of two retail marijuana facilities in operation in Dracut (with two more in the works), is a beehive of a
ctivity.
In addition to its retail operation, Lazy River (at 149 Broadway Road, behind the plaza) is in the process of cultivating its first batch of homegrown product. That’s the main difference between the facility and Dracut’s other, retail-only marijuana retailer. Lazy River expects to have some of its own vape cartridges in the display cases perhaps as early as mid-October, and other products by the end of November.
After a slow start, Lazy River, which opened on March 15, has had a much better second quarter, according to President/CEO William Cassotis, and he expects it to continue that upward trend with the introduction of the company’s own products. He added, however, that Lazy River will also continue to offer other Massachusetts manufacturers’ products to ensure that customers get what they want.
Lazy River holds outdoor Riverfest events regularly throughout the summer on Saturdays.
