Chalk up another 2,000 local families helped by the Manolis Family Foundation this Thanksgiving.
Elias Manolis, whose family owns Dracut House of Pizza, 1067 Lakeview Avenue, said more than 100 volunteers helped pack about 10,000 turkey dinners over the weekend of November 20-21, and on Monday, November 22, 2021, Volunteers, including crews from Coca-Cola, Trinity EMS and PrideStar EMS, set out to deliver all the meals to local families in need.
The Manolis family started their Thanksgiving tradition in 1993, donating 30 turkeys to families. Every year, the charitable effort grew bigger, and now, nearly 30 years later, the family has assembled a well-oiled machine of volunteers and local companies that help package and deliver the meals.
The Town of Dracut salutes the Manolis Family Foundation for continuing the tradition of providing Thanksgiving meals to the needy. To donate to future efforts, visit manolisff.org.
