Dracut Economic Development held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 28 to celebrate Thai Tasty Thai & Lao Restaurant at 7 Broadway Road.

JC Luang bought the restaurant, formerly called Thantawan Thai, off former owner Jim DiCecca.

Siha Panyananouvont, and his wife, Loun Panyananouvont – JC’s father and stepmother -- run the restaurant.

“JC wanted to have a business with his family,” Siha said.

Siha and Loun have the division of labor figured out, with Loun doing the bulk of the food prep.

“I just cut the vegetables and sweep the floors,” Siha said with a laugh.

Loun said Thai Tasty’s specialties include pad Thai, drunken noodles, crab Rangoon, crispy Thai roll and fried rice.

Thai Tasty is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:30 to 8:30, and is closed Sunday and Monday.
