"Make It Dracut for the Holidays" contest has come to an end!

The Dracut Economic Development Committee "Make It Dracut for the Holidays" contest has come to an end!

The winners of Dracut Economic Development Make It Dracut for the Holidays shopping contest were picked randomly on Monday, December 18, by a very special guest to Dracut Town Hall. Mrs. Claus was able to fit the appearance in her busy schedule, and we thank Jenniffer Rogers, a member of the Dracut Economic Development Committee and a close friend of Mrs. Claus, for arranging the visit.

We encourage you to watch the attached video for the live drawing of the winners. The list of winners also appears below.

First, some facts about the promotion:

  • To enter, people had to shop at one of 41 participating Dracut businesses, then send in a photo of the receipt showing the business name and date of purchase. The contest ran from November 20 through December 15.
  • We had 90 entries from 42 different people, as folks were allowed to enter as many times as they liked, as long as they sent in a different receipt for each entry. The most receipts came from The Farm Stand at Farmer Dave's (14), followed by Tavern on the Line (9), Owen and Ollie's Restaurant (😎 and Shaw Farm (7).

Thank you to the 41 businesses that participated in the promotion. We hope it helped you as well, as that is the ultimate goal. Our business community is one of the town’s greatest assets, and it never fails to come through when needed. We at Dracut Economic Development urge everyone to continue to shop Dracut whenever possible.

During the four weeks of the contest, the receipts sent in totaled just under $5,200 spent at Dracut businesses by the folks who entered the contest.

A total of eight prizes were available, all of them donations either by the business or from personal donors. The contest did not cost the town a cent, and all of the money the winners receive will go back to Dracut businesses.

Contest Winners:

  • The top prize for the contest is $500 in gift cards to Dracut businesses of the winner’s choice, thanks to an anonymous donor. The winner of the $500 in gift cards is Jason Antifonario.
  • Next is a $250 gift card to Tavern on the Line, donated by owners Joe and Trish Forster. The winner of the Tavern on the Line gift card is Rob Kelly.
  • Next is a gift card for $150 to Grazie Italian Restaurant, from an anonymous donor, which goes to Dianne Paquette.
  • The winners of two separate $50 gift cards to Lulu Nail Delights , donated by owner Qiuchan Lu, are Elizabeth Menard and Cheryl Smith.
  • Next up, Cheryl Smith also receives a $50 gift certificate to Almo's Flower & Garden Center, donated by owner Andre Daigle.
  • Next is a $50 gift certificate donated by Brite Kleen Cleaners. The winner, again, is Dianne Paquette.
  • Last but not least. Louis and Anna Neofotistos at Pete's Grain Company donated a beautiful doggie gift basket. The winner, again, is Jason Antifonario.

Again, Dracut Economic Development thanks the business owners, gift donors and participants for their generosity and for taking part in the Make it Dracut for the Holidays shopping promotion.
