Dracut is gearing up for a night of laughter, community spirit, and a little friendly competition, all for a good cause. On Thursday, March 21st, the Town of Dracut and the Dracut Scholarship Foundation will televise a unique event: Pie an Official. The premise is simple yet entertaining: residents are invited to swing by Town Hall in the upcoming days and make donations in support of either Town Manager Ann Vandal or School Superintendent Steven Stone. Whichever official's pot accumulates the most funds by Thursday, March 21st, at 4:30 PM will be the unlucky recipient of a pie in the face during the live broadcast on Dracut Access Television happening later that evening at 8:30 PM.

This event isn't just about tossing pies; it's about honoring the legacy of longtime Dracut High School Principal Bruce Hutchins while raising funds for a noble cause.

But beyond the laughs and whipped cream, there's a deeper purpose to Pie an Official. The funds raised will benefit the Dracut Scholarship Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting local students in their pursuit of higher education. By contributing to this cause, residents are investing in the future of their community, ensuring that deserving students have the resources they need to succeed. The choice between Ann Vandal and Steven Stone adds an extra element of excitement to the event. Both officials are well-known within the community, making the competition all the more spirited. Residents are encouraged to rally behind their preferred candidate, not only with their donations but also with their cheers and support.

The live broadcast on Dracut Access Television promises to be an evening of entertainment for all. Whether you're tuning in to see a familiar face adorned with pie or simply to show your support for a worthy cause, there's something for everyone to enjoy. So gather your friends and family, and join in the fun from the comfort of your own home.

In the end, Pie an Official isn't just about the pie – it's about community, generosity, and making a difference. It's a celebration of the values that define Dracut and a testament to the power of coming together for a common cause. So mark your calendars, make your donations, and let's pie an official in honor of Bruce Hutchins and the bright future of Dracut's students.

One thing's for certain: no matter the outcome, the real winners of this contest are the students of Dracut.
