With the holidays just around the corner, we want to ensure that the festive spirit extends beyond the celebrations. Public Works Director, Edward G. Patenaude, invites Dracut residents to get ahead of the post-holiday cleanup by familiarizing themselves with the convenient Christmas Tree Recycling options available in our community.
Drop-off Locations:
Until January 31st, residents can conveniently dispose of their Christmas trees at the following designated locations:
- Council on Aging parking lot on Mammoth Road
- Carrick Park parking lot on Mammoth Road
- Boule Park parking lot on Lakeview Avenue
- Hovey Ball Field parking lot on Pleasant Street
- Varnum Park parking lot on Arlington Street

Guidelines for Recycling:
To ensure the success of the recycling program and to contribute to environmental sustainability, kindly adhere to the following guidelines:
Christmas Trees Only: Please deposit only Christmas trees at the designated drop-off locations. This initiative is tailored specifically for recycling Christmas trees.
No Wreaths: While we appreciate all festive decorations, this program exclusively focuses on Christmas trees. Please refrain from dropping off wreaths at the designated locations.
Remove Bags and Plastic Netting: Before disposing of your Christmas tree, be sure to remove all bags and plastic netting. This step is crucial for effective recycling and ensures that the trees can be properly processed in an environmentally friendly manner.
